The Print O' The Wave Stole pattern is now available - click here to download the PDF!
I've proofread as carefully as I can, but please do let me know if you find an error or have suggestions for improving the pattern. Also, I haven't yet test knit the lace weight version - the numbers are fine, but the finished size and yardage are just an estimate.
I'm always ready to clarify or explain if you come across something written poorly - give a shout anytime.
Let me know if you make one, and I'll start a gallery!
***unrelated administrative note - As Elle pointed out yesterday, there seems to be a problem with search engine hits being redirected to a series of porn pop-ups. I'd love to tell you that I'm exploring career options and that it's not a problem, but it is - alas - a big pain in the ass (so to speak). It's being taken care of - my apologies to anyone who was offended.***

Thanks Eunny! That's soo great that you are sharing your pattern with us! :-) What a complex creation you came up with! I think it would be many many years before I could ever attempt to come up with something like that.

What a wonderful, generous person you are. I really like the stole and will have to try it one of these days. How annoying about the porn sites - jeeze. Why is it always something?

You are an absolute sweetheart to post the instructions! Can you tell us more about the invisible cast-on? Do you use the long-tail cast-on with scrap yarn over your thumb, or something else entirely?

Beautiful! Thank you so much for posting a pattern.

Actually, the two times I've used a search engine to find your blog, I've been redirected to a site that immediately puts on trojan on my PC. I've managed to get rid of it both times, but I won't be clicking the link from the search engine anymore!

Now lets think about this here...if you were going to have a porn site Eunny, wouldn't you want to name it something else? I mean, I would....
Now I'm going to have to think about what name I'd want to give my porn site....

Thanks for the pattern! I'm definitely putting this towards the top of my list!
BTW, my mom got directed to your blog through a sock knitter ring that she's in (the tutorial on dyeing self-striping yarn) and she recognized you as "the Eunny I talk about." She thinks Eunny is short for Eunice. I say Eunny is your full name. Who's right?

Thank you Eunny, and Merry Christmas. After Christmas, when things calm down, email me your address, as I'd like to mail you a "happy"

I heart your blog! I go to school with your sister, and she mentioned it to me last week. After one too many screw-ups, lace is the only thing about knitting that intimidates me - needless to say, your work FLOORS me.

Hi. I just hotlinked over. I'm really impressed with the lace shawl.. Subtle and interesting but not too flashy. Thanx for sharing. =)

Thanks so much for the pattern Eunny! I've got a bunch of yarn just perfect for this! I can't wait to start! I'll definitely send you a pic or 2 when I finish!
PS.. do they pay YOU to run those ads on your page?

Thank you very much! Sounds like you have a KAL in the making for 2006 with all of the interested knitters. Should I actually be able to finish this I will send you a picture. Merry Christmas!

Hi Eunny! I had already ordered the original Print O'The Wave Stole pattern from Heirloom Knitting when I spotted your version. (I used your charts to try out the yarn and to get used to the lace knitting).Lovely of you to give away the pattern! I hope my Stole will be half as nice as the ones you have made, they are really stunning!

There aren't really many lace patterns that look good in black - but this one is just stunning. Thank you so much for putting up the pattern!

Dear Eunny,
I've knitted the edge several times to make sure but have found a mistake in the downward (or second part) of the edging.
When I get to row 7 (and 8) the widest part I have 20sts but the next row, row 9, requires to use 19sts so I have one extra left over. This also happens in the consecuative rows toward the narrow part.
I always think I've got something wrong so try several times to make sure.
If I'm reading the chart wrong could you please let me know.
Thank you
